Su Chaoying, Honorary Chairwoman of the China Leather Association (CLA); Zhu Yan, Vice Chairman of CLA and Chairman of the Henan Leather Association; Yanshi's municipal leaders including Zhang Xiaoli and Yan Xiaodong, as well as representatives from dealers of Yanshi's cloth shoes, e-commerce enterprises, trade companies and 279 shoemakers at home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.

Shoemaking is a superior traditional industry of Yanshi. In recent years, Yanshi has stuck to new industrialization, focused on industrial transformation and upgrading, and endeavored to promote the development of Yanshi's shoemaking industry. There are currently 4 professional parks, 1,100 shoemakers and some 100,000 shoemaking practitioners in Yanshi. With an annual output of more than 500 million pairs of shoes and a share of more than one third in the Chinese cloth shoe market, Yanshi is China's largest and leading cloth shoe and textile fabrics manufacturing base.
At the opening ceremony, Zhang Xiaoli, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Yanshi Municipal Committee announced the opening of 2019 Chinese Cloth Shoe City · Yanshi Spring Fair.
Yan Xiaodong delivered an address. Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's instruction in the development of the private economy, the whole city should strongly support the innovative development of shoemakers and other private enterprises, in an effort to create a strong atmosphere of serving and respecting private enterprises, said him, requiring that Yanshi's shoemakers should grasp the rare opportunity to communicate with merchants, bring respective advantages into full play, broaden cooperation range and improve cooperation level, to promote the steady and accelerated development of Yanshi's shoemaking industry. He also hoped that the shoe experts present would pay more attention to the fertile business land of Yanshi and explore a path of shoemaking reform, innovation, opening-up and development with Yanshi.
Following the opening ceremony, the attendees visited the shoe exhibition zone.
